2026 Guided Reading List
Paul to a young man: “Until I come, give attendance to reading, exhortation and doctrine” 1 Tim 4:13. Paul to a local church: “Whatsoever things are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned and received and heard, and seen in me do.” Philippians 4:8,9
There is no substitute to the daily reading of God’s Word consecutively. However, in response to various requests, the following is a list of books we can recommend. We seek to encourage more reading of good books in an age where many only ever read from a screen. Some inevitably have more available time, capacity and have developed a habit for reading. Our aim is not to pressurise but to promote more reading. These proven books have been chosen to cover a variety of important subjects. Some are shorter, some longer. If you can read a book each month it will be of great help to your spiritual life. We may also be able to speak to each other about what we are reading and share books we have already read.
